Wear comfortable clothing as the class will require participants to kneel on the floor. Bring a yoga mat or other pad if you have difficulty on the floor.
Each student must have his/her own current and appropriate manual or workbook readily available for use before, during, and after course. The title of the book is "Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Student Workbook" (2015 edition). You will not be able to attend the class without a book (hardcopy or e-book). The cost of the book online is approximately $15.50 You can do an online search to purchase the book.
American Heart Association Heartsaver®
First Aid CPR AED is a classroom taught, video based course with a certified instructor. The course teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage a first aid or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Content also includes how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, choking, and other first aid emergencies, as well as perform CPR and use an AED. Participants over the age of 14 will receive a card upon meeting all of the testing requirements and completing the class. The American Heart Association First Aid CPR AED card will be good for two years from date of completion of course.
