EMS Chief, Danny West and Medical Director, Dr. Jill Mabley, along with numerous EMTs, paramedics, EMS training officers and EMS administrative staff were recognized this past Tuesday at the regular meeting of the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners.
Cherokee County Fire Chief, Tim Prather, came before the Board of Commissioners to recognize all the EMS personnel for receiving the Region 1 EMS of the Year last week in Cartersville, Georgia.
“I’m very proud of these men and women who work so hard for the county and to be recognized as one of the best EMS services in the state,” stated Cherokee County Fire Chief, Tim Prather. “This is the third time that our EMS staff has been a recipient of this award,” he added.
Cherokee County Board of Commissioner’s Chairman, “Buzz” Ahrens thanks the leaders and personnel for doing such a fine job for the citizen of the county.
The Region 1 EMS award is presented to the EMS Agency whose nomination scores highest on 11 criteria including standards, protocols, violations, innovation and community service.
