Early Morning Fire Damages Home on Apple Orchard Lane

Cherokee County Fire & Emergency responded to a structure fire early this morning at 5021 Apple Orchard Lane, located off Toonigh Road.

Cherokee County 911 received a call around 1:45 reporting that their front porch was on fire and everyone was out of the house. According to Cherokee County Firefighter, Lt. Matthew Richter, “Engine 8 arrived to find heavy fire. Multiple hose lines were deployed and the fire was stopped and extinguished.” One of the residences of the house, 36 year old Jeremy Flower, stated that he was asleep and woke up to find the house on fire. He also reported that he woke up his 37 year old girlfriend Sparkles Hill and the homeowner, 37 year old Trevor Davison, and they all escaped the home without injury.

According to Cherokee County Fire Investigator, Shane Daniel, the majority of the damage was done to the front porch and the living room. Other sections of the home received some smoke and water damage. Daniel also stated that the cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.

No injuries were reported.
