Danny Daniels Retires from Fire Department

May 28, 2019

Danny Daniels, the Logistics Manager for Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services, was recognized last Friday at a retirement luncheon held in his honor at the Ichiban Restaurant near Holly Springs.

Cherokee County Fire Chief, Tim Prather, thanked Daniels for his 12+ years of service to the citizens and firefighters of Cherokee County and presented him with a “bugle” award. The bugle or speaking trumpet is a reference to a megaphone like device that was used in the early days of the fire service.  Cherokee County Assistant Fire Chief, Eddie Robinson, and Battalion Chief of Support Services, Marc Liscio, came forward to say a few words about Danny’s career with the fire service.

Daniels began his career with Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services on December 11, 2006.  Daniels worked in the logistics department for his entire career in the fire service and retired as the logistics manager.  He was also a veteran who served in the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant.

We wish Danny many happy years of retirement!
