Fire Department Assists With Pancake Breakfast for Hospital Staff

November 4, 2019

Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services recently helped with a pancake breakfast at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton.

According to Dana McPherson, Chaplain Director for the fire department, “For the last three years Tim Kinnersley, Chaplain of Northside Cherokee Hospital, has hosted a pancake breakfast during Pastoral Care Week at the hospital to show appreciation to the staff, doctors, and nurses for what they do every day to take care of the citizens of Cherokee County.”

Chaplains from several public safety agencies in Cherokee County invited members of the command staffs with the fire department and law enforcement entities to cook and serve pancakes to the employees of the hospital. Approximately 500 staff members of the hospital enjoyed the breakfast.

Plans are already being made for the 2020 event. The Pastoral Care Week breakfast was started in 2017.
