Coppola Retires from Fire Department

November 15, 2019

Scott Coppola, a firefighter with Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services, was recognized last Friday at a retirement ceremony held at the administrative offices of the fire department.

Assistant Cherokee County Fire Chief, Eddie Robinson, thanked Coppola for his 16+ years of service to the citizens of Cherokee County and presented him with a “bugle” award. The bugle or speaking trumpet is a reference to a megaphone like device that was used in the early days of the fire service.

Coppola began his career with Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services on February 3rd, 2003 as a firefighter/paramedic.  Coppola was promoted to Medcon on December 11th, 2011.

We wish Scott many happy years of retirement
