Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services recognized Lt. Craig Delay on his retirement from the department.
Fire Chiefs Shane West, Kevin Lanier and Ryan McElwee traveled to Fire Station 11 Saturday morning for Lt. Delay’s last shift change to congratulate him for 22 years of service and present him with his Fire Bugle. The chiefs also cooked breakfast for the entire crew.
Delay stated, “I’m proud of this department and the direction it’s headed. My guys are lucky to have a bright future.”
Congratulations to Lt. Delay and best wishes on his retirement.
