Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the report of a commercial structure fire at 4:39PM on Monday, September 26th, 2022. The location of the fire was on Dixie Drive near Highway 92 in the southeast portion of unincorporated Cherokee County. CCFES and Woodstock Fire & Rescue responded with four fire engines, an aerial truck, battalion chief, and several support vehicles. Upon arrival at the scene, they found a large fire involving tires, a vehicle, and several other items behind a business with no structural involvement. Firefighters quickly deployed hoselines to begin extinguishing the fire while additional engine shuttled more water to the scene. Approximately six-thousand gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire and firefighters cleared the scene shortly after 6:00PM. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
