A letter from our Fire Chief:
On behalf of the men and women of Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services, I am honored to share with you our 2022 annual report. This was another great year for the fire department as we have continued to develop and promote professionalism in every aspect of our jobs. Your firefighters and staff understand that they must be both mentally and physical tough. Therefore, they all work and train hard to deliver excellence in fire and emergency medical response, as well as educating the community on risk reduction.
During my first year as fire chief, it has been my goal to lead this department to continually seek innovative ways to make Cherokee County an even safer place to live, work and play. Along with providing fast and effective emergency services, the members of the department have made significant achievements that I am very proud of. This includes seeking excellence and quality improvement through international accreditation, recruiting and retaining applicants that reflect the community we serve, staying up to date on the most current trends, and focusing on the overall health and wellbeing of our members.
In closing, I want to extend my sincerest thanks to the men and women of CCFES for their hard work and dedication to the department and community. To the county commission chair, commissioners, county manager, mayors, city council members, city managers and the citizens, I thank you for your incredible trust and support.
Sincerely,
Eddie L. Robinson
Fire Chief
