Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services (CCFES) promoted two firefighters Tuesday night at the Cherokee County Fire Training Complex in Holly Springs.
FAO Joseph Gates was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and Sergeant Mike Thomas was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. The newly promoted members began serving in their new roles on March 3, 2024.
Fire Chief Eddie Robinson welcomed the families and friends of those being promoted yesterday and thanked them for the sacrifices they make in support of their loved ones who serve in the agency. Chief Robinson also recognized the fire service retirees and armed forces veterans in the audience. An invocation was provided by Fire Chaplain Staphanie Robison and the promotion declarations were read by Deputy Chief Shane West.
Congratulations to these members of CCFES! We wish them great success in their new roles.
