Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services (CCFES) responded to a structure fire at River Ridge Apartments in Canton.
Firefighters were dispatched just before 3:30 a.m. to reports of a structure fire at this location. Units from Stations 9, 16, 11, and 21 responded. Upon arrival, crews found smoke and flames coming from a detached multi-unit parking garage. Firefighters quickly searched the structure for victims and extinguished the fire before flames extended to additional units.
No injuries were reported and no residents were displaced due to the fire. CCFES Investigators are working to determine the cause and area of origin of the fire.
