Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services proudly announces the promotion of Fire Apparatus Operator (FAO) Gerald Wright to the rank of Sergeant. The promotion ceremony took place on Tuesday night at the Cherokee County Fire Training Complex, marking a significant milestone in Wright's career.

Sergeant Wright assumed his new responsibilities effective March 31, 2024.

Fire Chief Eddie Robinson expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the families and friends of Sergeant Wright, acknowledging their unwavering support and sacrifices. Chief Robinson also recognized the fire service retirees and veterans present, underscoring their invaluable contributions to the department and our nation.
