Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services Takes Top Honors at Georgia Police & Fire Games

Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services (CCFES) proudly announces their triumphant performance at the Georgia Police & Fire Games held last week in Columbus, Georgia. The department's 3-on-3 basketball team clinched the 1st place title, showcasing their exceptional skill and teamwork.

The victorious basketball team, composed of Sgt. Eddie Barajas, FAO Bonn Ellerbee, and FAO Michael Hood, displayed unparalleled skill on the court. The trio went undefeated throughout the tournament and dominated the championship game with a decisive score of 21-5, securing the top spot and bringing home the coveted 1st Place trophy.

In addition to their basketball triumph, CCFES also achieved significant success in the softball tournament, earning an impressive 2nd place finish. The firefighters demonstrated their athletic versatility and commitment to excellence, further highlighting the spirit and camaraderie within the department.

Fire Chief Eddie Robinson expressed his pride in the team's accomplishments, stating, "We are incredibly proud of our firefighters for their outstanding performance at the Georgia Police & Fire Games.
