Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services Respond to Early Morning House Fire

Firefighters arrived to find fire on multiple floors in the rear of the home.

Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services responded to a residential fire early Friday morning at a residence on Palm Street in Holly Springs.

Firefighters were dispatched at 2:20 a.m. and arrived on the scene at 2:26 a.m. to find flames coming from multiple floors at the rear of the house. Crews immediately began a comprehensive search for any occupants while also attacking the fire. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries to civilians and all residents were able to exit the home on their own before the fire department's arrival.

The fire was quickly brought under control, and firefighters continued to work on-scene to overhaul and salvage property until approximately 4:30 a.m.

Cherokee County Fire Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
