Units from Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services (CCFES) and Woodstock Fire Department were dispatched just before 8:00 p.m. Monday evening to a commercial structure fire at 5729 Bells Ferry Rd, located in the unincorporated area of southern Cherokee County, between Woodstock and Acworth.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the structure. The affected property was the sales office of Green Auto Brokers Inc. Swift action by the fire crews involved both a thorough search of the premises for potential victims and an aggressive effort to extinguish the fire and salvage property.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the fire. CCFES fire investigators responded to the scene and are working to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
