Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services (CCFES) is proud to announce that Fire Apparatus Operator (FAO) Drew Turner, a firefighter, Advanced EMT, and fire investigator with our department, has successfully graduated from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center Regional Police Academy in Pickens County. The graduation ceremony took place on Friday, September 20th. On Monday, September 23rd, Turner was officially sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff by Sheriff Frank Reynolds during a special ceremony at the Cherokee County Public Safety Headquarters in Canton.

“FAO Turner’s hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment to serving and protecting our community are truly commendable,” said Eddie Robinson, Fire Chief of Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services.

In addition to this significant achievement, FAO Turner was recently selected for a full-time position in the Fire Department's Fire Investigations team. The CCFES Fire Investigations team consists of three full-time fire investigators who work to determine the cause and origin of fires throughout Cherokee County. They are supported by several firefighters in the field who are also certified fire investigators and assist with their investigations.

CCFES is proud to support FAO Turner as he embarks on this new chapter in his career, and we are excited about the positive impact he will continue to make in our community.
