Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services (CCFES) responded to a residential structure fire Monday morning on Old Canton Road near Old Canton Circle in Ball Ground. Crews arrived on scene to find heavy fire conditions at the rear of the structure.
Firefighters began an aggressive interior attack and conducted a thorough search of the residence. The fire was brought under control without incident. No injuries were reported among civilians or emergency personnel.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Cherokee County Fire Investigations Team.
CCFES commends the swift and professional actions of its personnel, whose coordinated efforts ensured the safety of everyone involved and limited further property damage.
