Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services (CCFES) is proud to announce that our members delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 Georgia Police & Fire Games, held June 16–21 in Gainesville and throughout Hall County, Georgia. CCFES teams earned 1st place trophies in both Basketball and Softball, finishing undefeated in both competitions.
The Georgia Police & Fire Games is a prestigious annual event that draws hundreds of competitors from across the state — and beyond — who serve in public safety professions. Open to all salaried law enforcement officers and firefighters, active or retired, from any U.S. state, the Games celebrate excellence, camaraderie, and the physical and mental resilience required of those who protect and serve our communities.
"These victories are a reflection of the dedication and determination our team brings not only to athletic competition, but to their roles as firefighters every single day," said CCFES Fire Chief Eddie Robinson. "We are extremely proud of our members who represent Cherokee County with the same passion, integrity, and intensity on the field that they bring to every emergency call."
The Georgia Police & Fire Games were established to recognize and honor those in the public safety profession who willingly risk their lives in service to others. These Games provide an opportunity to celebrate their strength, skill, and sense of duty, while also encouraging fitness, camaraderie, and mutual respect across agencies.
CCFES is proud of our competitors, whose relentless work ethic is evident both in competition and in the field. Whether fighting fires, responding to medical emergencies, or competing in state-level athletic events, our team exemplifies the core values of courage, commitment, and integrity.
