Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services (CCFES) proudly hosted a promotion ceremony on Thursday, June 26, at the CCFES Fire Training Complex to honor the outstanding service and career advancements of two highly respected department members.
In a ceremony steeped in tradition and pride, the following promotions were formally recognized:
Chad Davis was promoted to Deputy Chief and will now lead the Field Operations Branch of CCFES.
Chad Huff was promoted to Director of EMS, overseeing the department’s Emergency Medical Services Division.
Surrounded by family, friends, and fellow firefighters, both honorees were ceremonially pinned with their new badges and collar insignia by loved ones—a meaningful tradition symbolizing achievement, responsibility, and commitment to the department and the community.
Fire Chief Eddie Robinson and members of the command staff delivered congratulatory remarks, praising Deputy Chief Davis and Director Huff for their professionalism, leadership, and dedication to the mission of protecting the citizens of Cherokee County.
"Their promotions reflect years of hard work, personal sacrifice, and an unrelenting commitment to public safety," said Chief Robinson. "We are proud to recognize their accomplishments and confident in their continued leadership."
