Firefighters from Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services and Woodstock Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire on Farmington Drive Tuesday, located in unincorporated Cherokee County near Woodstock. Crews were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:45 a.m. after receiving reports of a chimney fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered flames that had spread from the chimney into the attic of the home. Crews immediately began to search the residence to ensure no victims were present while working swiftly to control the fire.

Thanks to the prompt response and efficient actions of both fire departments, the fire was brought under control, and no injuries have been reported. Fire investigators were called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
