CCFES Honors Fire IT Manager Stuart Vaughn on His Retirement After 24 Years of Service

This afternoon, members of CCFES gathered at Fire Headquarters to honor Fire IT Manager Stuart Vaughn as he celebrates his retirement after more than 24 years of dedicated service to the department and the citizens of Cherokee County.

During the ceremony, Fire Chief Eddie Robinson presented Mr. Vaughn with a commemorative helmet plaque in recognition of his outstanding commitment, professionalism, and lasting contributions to the organization. The plaque serves as a symbol of appreciation for his steadfast leadership and the vital role he has played in strengthening the department’s technology infrastructure and operational readiness.

Throughout his distinguished career, Stuart has been a reliable and respected figure within the department. In addition to managing the Fire IT Department, he went above and beyond by earning certification as both a Firefighter and an EMT, demonstrating his deep commitment not only to technology and operations, but also to serving on the front lines when needed.

His dedication has left a lasting impact on CCFES and the community it serves. Colleagues describe him as dependable, knowledgeable, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
