Last night at approximately 10:40 PM, our firefighters were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire on Trinity Church Rd.
The first arriving units found fire in the attic of the home and immediately went to work. Crews aggressively advanced hose lines while simultaneously initiating a primary search of the residence to ensure no occupants were trapped inside. Protecting life is always our top priority, and firefighters moved quickly through the home to confirm everyone was safe.
Thanks to a fast, coordinated attack, crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control and prevent further damage to the home. The residence was thoroughly searched and ventilated as firefighters checked for any hidden fire extension.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire has been determined to be lightning.
