Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services Partners with Curing Kids Cancer for Inaugural Georgia Fire Truck Pull

Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services is proud to partner with Curing Kids Cancer for the inaugural Curing Kids Cancer Georgia Fire Truck Pull, taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2026. This high-energy community event will bring together families, first responders, local businesses, and residents in support of one powerful mission—funding lifesaving pediatric cancer research.

The event will be held at The Mill on Etowah. Group registration is now open and will close on May 8, 2026.
Event check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., with the first pull kicking off at 10:30 a.m. Teams of 10 participants will compete to pull a 30,000-pound Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services fire engine a distance of 50 feet in the fastest time.

Proceeds from the Fire Truck Pull will directly support critical pediatric cancer research at Emory University, a leader in advancing innovative treatments for childhood cancers.

Each team participates in honor of a child affected by cancer—whether someone they know personally or a local childhood cancer warrior they are paired with through Curing Kids Cancer—adding a deeply meaningful connection to the competition.

Awards will be presented for the top fundraising team, fastest pull times, and best team spirit and attire. All participants will receive an official event T-shirt.
