Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services proudly hosted a night of celebration and recognition on May 18, 2026, at the Cherokee County Fire Training Complex, honoring the promotion of five dedicated members of the department.

Surrounded by family, friends, and fellow firefighters, each promotee was recognized for exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to serving the community. In keeping with department tradition, loved ones had the special honor of pinning new badges on the promotees, symbolizing an important milestone in their firefighting careers.

The newly promoted members are:

Deputy Chief: Marc Liscio

Division Chief: Michael Sims

Division Chief: Nathan Roper

Battalion Chief: Richard Jordan

Captain: Kyle Hicks

Fire Chief Eddie Robinson expressed his pride in the department’s newest leaders, stating, “These promotions reflect the professionalism, commitment, and servant leadership that define our organization.
