Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services responded to a residential structure fire in Ball Ground on Wednesday just before 6:30 p.m.
Firefighters arrived to find a working house fire with heavy flames and smoke showing from the residence. Crews immediately initiated an aggressive fire attack while simultaneously conducting a primary search to ensure no occupants remained inside the home.
The fire was quickly brought under control, and no injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.
Two adults were displaced as a result of the fire and are receiving assistance.
In accordance with standard protocol, the incident is under investigation by the Cherokee County Fire Investigations Team. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
