Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services responded to a fully involved house fire in Canton off of Sixes Road at approximately 2:30pm.
First arriving units were able to locate a fully involved house fire behind a locked gate on a dirt road off Sixes Road. The initial call was for black smoke in the area. A deputy for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office was in the area at the time and was able to confirm that it was a structure fire. Units from CCFES arrived on scene quickly and contained the incident. No injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters. The cause is currently under investigation.
