Cherokee Fire is on Scene of A Fire Between Macedonia and Free Home

Cherokee Fire is currently on scene of a structure fire in the area of Old Orange Mill Rd in unincorporated Cherokee County between Macedonia and Free Home. Units were dispatched at 5:50 p.m. and responded within minutes. No injuries have been reported and the scene is still active. Please avoid  the area. 

Earlier today Cherokee County Fire responded with Woodstock Fire Department, GA, making this the second structure fire in the county today. While the cause of each fire is currently undetermined, there appears to be no relation or threat to the public.

Please check your smoke detectors and have a family fire escape plan for your home.
