Water rescue operations demand specialized expertise, rigorous training, and the ability to operate safely in highly challenging environments. To further strengthen our department’s readiness, several members of our team have successfully completed the Emergency Response Diving International 2 (ERDI 2) certification, an advanced and highly demanding course designed for professional public safety divers.

ERDI 2 builds directly upon the foundational skills taught in ERDI 1, which all participants are required to complete beforehand. Together, these courses provide a structured, progressive training pathway that prepares divers for complex underwater missions. The ERDI 2 program enhances capabilities in underwater search and rescue, evidence recovery, risk assessment, and dive-scene management, ensuring our divers can perform effectively and safely during high‑risk operations.

With this advanced training, our certified divers are equipped to respond to some of the most challenging incidents in our community. Their new qualifications strengthen our ability to locate missing persons, recover critical evidence, and support multi‑agency emergency operations in water environments.

We are proud of the dedication, professionalism, and commitment these members continue to demonstrate. Their pursuit of advanced training reinforces our department’s mission to provide exceptional service and ensure the highest level of public safety.
