Yesterday, the Patriot Day ceremony was held at Rotary Park in Downtown Canton. Public safety agencies from around Cherokee County came together alongside citizens and visitors to reflect, to pay respect, and to remember those who were lost on 9/11.
Cherokee County Fire Battalion Chief Matthew Richter gave the keynote speech, leaving all with a sense of duty and unity. Public safety leaders from around Cherokee County spoke about the importance of reverence and coming together to honor those that were lost.
We are extremely grateful to all of the public safety agencies that came together yesterday as well as all of the residents and visitors that attended the ceremony.
