Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services responded to a lightning strike at a residence this morning shortly after 7:30am in the Lake Arrowhead community. First arriving units made sure there were no occupants inside the residence while also locating the source of a smell of smoke in the attic. Crews worked together to mitigate the hazard quickly. No injuries were reported to citizens or firefighters as a result of the incident.
